Ms. Marilyn Jean Baldino (née Wolfe) of Centerville, OH passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the age of 78. She was comforted bed side by her daughter Karen Arthur.
Marilyn was born to parents Jean (née Flynn ) and Edwin Wolfe on June 5, 1939 in Rochester, NY and grew up as an only child. She attended Our Lady of Mercy High School in Rochester, NY and went on to major in Sociology at Daemen College (formerly Rosary Hill College) in Amherst, NY.
Marilyn loved animals, music, nature, writing, and photography. She had a creative mind, enjoyed people, and living in the urban environment. She had a gift of observation, seeing the humor in interesting things and situations.
Marilyn worked for the Journal Herald & Dayton Daily News for more than 20 years, retiring in 2003. Working in the neighborhood section, she was credited with being able to see the photo potential for stories that other people would look past. Many of her newspaper articles, photos, and poems were published.
Marilyn is survived by her children Robert Baldino Jr. of Centerville, OH; Kathleen LaBelle of Lawrence, MI; Karen Arthur of Centerville, OH; John Baldino of Bellbrook, OH; Mark Baldino of Marietta, GA; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her former husband Robert Baldino Sr. of Centerville, OH.
The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
