Marilyn L. Arrington, age 91, began her journey to the beyond on Sunday, December 1, 2019. She was born to the late Mabel Izetta Bowman and Samuel Pulse on December 30, 1927.
Marilyn was a graduate of West Carrollton High School class of 1945. During WWII, she worked for the War Department as a civilian communications operator in Downtown, Dayton.
She met the love of her life, Lenard D. Arrington, in 1943 at the Montgomery County Fair where he often said it was an instant connection with his "brown eyed love." After four years of dating, they married in 1947.
In the early 1960's, she started her 30-year career with Elder Beerman which satisfied her thirst for fashion and the pure pleasure she got out of shopping. She retired from Elder Beerman, Siebenthaler Store, where she was Department Manager of Woman's Apparel.
Marilyn is survived by her brother, Thomas Kesling- Georgia, her two children, Dan Arrington- Ohio and Kathy David- Texas, three grandchildren, Colt David- Texas, Kelsey David- Texas, and Amanda Arrington- Ohio, and two great granddaughters, Amira and Akira Arrington- Ohio.

For those who have known and loved Marilyn during her life's journey, her service will be held at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, North Chapel Friday, December 6 starting at 12:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Marilyn's life at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Polk Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Marilyn.
