Heaven received another angel on Monday, November 23, 2015, Mariellen Weist. She passed peacefully at Trinity Community of Beavercreek. She was born May 8, 1918 in Dayton, Ohio. We were blessed to have her unconditional love for over 97 years.
Mariellen, a retired history teacher with Kettering School District, was an undergraduate of Wittenberg College and earned her Masters from The Ohio State University. She was an avid reader who enjoyed collecting, and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Robert E. Weist; parents, Lon and Treva Puterbaugh and brother, Richard Lee Puterbaugh.
Mariellen is survived by her sister, Betty Jean Ullery; niece, Cheryl (Andy) Ridgley and nephew, Stephen L. Ullery. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the funeral at 10:30 am on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice of Miami Valley.
