Marie Moody-Overly

OVERLY, Marie Moody age 94 passed away September 21, 2011 at The Hospice of Dayton.

She is preceded in death by her first husband in 1974, Daniel L. Moody; second husband in 2000, Paul F. Overly; son, Daniel L. Moody, and 6 siblings.

She is survived by children, David A. Moody, Regina L. (Craig) Cobb; and Gregory T. (Karen) Moody; brother, Lee Allen; sisters, Eloise Loechinger and Susan I. Bolwell; step-daughter, Diane (Ron) Davis; daughter-in-law, Linda S. Moody grandchildren, Erin Moody, Evan Moody, James Cobb, and Jared Cobb; great-granddaughter, Alivia Moody; step-granddaughter, Rhonda Caruana; and numerous other family members and friends.

Marie was very involved with Beavercreek Square Dancers, Beavercreek Retired Teacher Association, and with the Beavercreek Senior Center where she was a Travel Director. She was also a member of Aley United Methodist Church where she was active with the youth group and the fellowship Sunday school classes.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 26, 2011 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the American Heart Association or to The Hospice of Dayton.
