Marie Martin

MARTIN, Marie A. age 84 passed away Monday, July 25, 2011. She was born March 11, 1927 in Olomouc, Czechoslovakia to Leopold and Marie (nee Lukas) Krätschmer.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Anna Hader, Vera Fröhlich, and Emilie Müller; and three brothers, Leopold, Karl, and Frantisek.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Chuck Martin; son, Dan (Kim); grandchildren, Ryan and Amanda; nieces and nephews, Jana, Alenka, Dieter, Friedie, Vera, Werner, Wolfgang, Peter, Lois, and Lisa; and sister-in-law, Joyce (Jim) Beard.

She always placed her family first and enjoyed the company of people and especially children. Marie was a member of Dayton Amateur Radio Association. Everyone that knew her enjoyed being around her; including strangers. She will be greatly missed by all those that she touched.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 29, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home – Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton-Xenia RD. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment at Clarksville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Marie's memory.
