Marianne P. Tavella

Marianne P. Tavella, age 78 of Centerville, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022. She was born September 8, 1944 in Norwalk, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Carol Pia.

Marianne was just "Mare" to all that knew and loved her. She devoted her life to her family and friends, brightening the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She was often smiling, singing and dancing. It didn't matter if you were a stranger, you were going to get a hug. Her family was her everything. She loved her sons and grandchildren and was there to celebrate each special moment in their lives, supporting them and always being their biggest cheerleader. Mare made everyone she met feel special and loved.

Marianne is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard; sons, Tim Tavella, Jeff (Jill) Tavella; grandchildren, Anthony Tavella, Kyle Tavella, Alexander Tavella, Lola Tavella, Avery Tavella; sister, Pamela Swindon of Connecticut; 5 nieces and nephews; as well as numerous loving family members and many friends.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Ben Tavella; and her sister, Lola (Pia) Mather.

A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 2 pm to 3 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH 45459), with a Celebration of Life beginning at 3 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Breast Cancer Awareness.
