Margaret Ann Tucker, was reunited with her Lord & Savior in Heaven on her 101st birthday, June 18, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio. Margaret was born on June 18, 1923, to her loving parents, the late James H. & Fannie L. Connally. In addition to her parents, Margaret has also joined in eternal peace, her husband, Murphus Tucker and her sister, Mary E. Gilbert.
Margaret dedicated over 30 years of her life to government service in both the National Archives and DESC, before retiring. Her work ethic was admirable and inspiring to all who knew her.
Those who had the privilege of knowing would undoubtedly describe her as fun-loving and someone who always appreciated a good joke. A woman of great faith, Margaret found solace and community as a devoted member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She was very active in the church as a member of the Prayer Band, the Friday Night Bible Study, and she was also the Mother of the Church and member of the Mother's Board.
Margaret is survived by her beloved children: Jacqueline M. Owens, Patricia A. Owens, James L. Jackson, and Sandra L. Tucker; granddaughter Maria Jackson; and three cherished great-grandchildren: Trevon, DaMarie, and Jayden. Margaret's legacy of love and laughter will be carried on by many more nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives she touched with kindness and warmth.
