Margaret M. "Peggy" Saunders, age 95 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at St. Leonard's Assisted Living. She was born January 4, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Margaret was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving as a medic.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rose and John Kensel, husband, Donald S. Saunders, and her daughter, Elizabeth Hudgell.
Margaret is survived by daughter, Pamela (Edward) Thomas; granddaughters, Jennifer (Tres) Wagner-Lund and Molly (Matt) Palmer; grandsons, Robby (Alyssa) Thomas, Rich (Cheryl) Hudgell and James (Gina) Hudgell; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Zack, Sam and Ellie Wagner-Lund, Eddie and Coraline Thomas and Justin, Lindsey, Aidan and Ronin Hudgell; sister-in-law, Glenna Saunders. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.. Interment will be held at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Dayton Food Bank, Hospice of Dayton, or Saint Leonard's Assisted Living.
