Margaret "Peg" A. Plattenburg, age 84, of Dayton, OH passed away Sunday August 3, 2014.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anne VanDeMotter.
She is survived by her children, Deborah (Charles) Doll, Judd (Suzy) Plattenburg, and Anne Plattenburg; grandchildren, Lauren (William) Doll Jessup, Emily (Mark) Doll McDermott, and Joseph Plattenburg; great grandchildren, Derek McDermott; sister, Mary (Bob) Mayock; and brother, Charles "Buddy" (Jeanette) VanDeMotter.
Peg Graduated from Notre Dame Academy for Girls in Cleveland and held a Master of Fine Arts from Wright State University. Peg had a strong love for her family and friends, for the arts, encouraging creative endeavors and for the nature and colors of the Southwest and the ocean. We will always remember her optimism and joyful spirit, her smile and laughter that endeared all those who knew her or who just met her.
Memorial service will be held August 22, at 1:30 pm, with visitation starting at 1:00 at St. Leonard's Chapel in Centerville.
Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the St. Leonard's Foundation.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
