Margaret Meier
January 12, 1938 — July 16, 2012
Margaret Christine Meier, age 74, of Miamisburg, OH passed away Monday July 16, 2012 after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Dublin, Ireland on January 12, 1938 to Thomas and Kathleen Courtney.
She immigrated to the United States in 1959 and became a US citizen in 1977.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ann. Survivors include sons, Sean (Kimmie) Meier and Patrick (Belinda) Meier; grandchild, Kathryn; siblings, Eugene and Rose of Belleville, Ontario and Josephine, Marie, Thomas, and Billy of Dublin, Ireland.
Margaret retired from Kroger's after more than 15 years of loyal service. She loved to sing and was a former member of the Gem City Sweet Adelines Chorus.
Funeral Mass is Friday July 20, 2012 at 10:30am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Kettering, OH. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton in Margaret's name.
