Margaret McDermott (Saunders) 7/3/1923 through 3/5/2017

Preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Arthur Saunders; brothers, Edward, Edwin, Arthur Jr, Ray, Andy and Jack; daughter-in-law, Myra McDermott.

She is survived by son, David McDermott; daughters, Deborah (Bill) Placke, Vicki (Joe) Moeller and Stephanie "Cathy" Denardo; grandchildren, Jackie Baumgardner, Jody McDermott, Aimee McDermott, Brian Placke, Laura Placke, Amanda Anderson (Evan), Katie Lavelle (Mike) and Andrew Denardo; great-grandchildren, Josh Bowling, Jourdan Bowling, Casey Baumgardner, Jacob McDermott, Kenya Smyers, Nola Smyers, Amara Conn, Evan Anderson, Hailey Anderson, Miles Anderson, Rue Anderson, Samuel Placke, Matthew Cooper and Connor Lavelle; great great-grandchildren, Kayden Bowling; brothers, Bob and Ralph Saunders; special cousin, Mary Francis Dolan.

Margaret retired from Yeck Brothers Group after 29 years and since then has enjoyed her family and her love of books. Her Cousin Mary Francis Dolan was her best friend in life and she enjoyed the time she spent in West Virginia with her. She loved a good garage sale and could spend hours in thrift stores but being an avid reader gave her the greatest joy in life.

The family wants to thank all the friends and family that visited during the last months that made mom so happy. Also, The Sanctuary at Wilmington Place and Wood Glen Alzheimer's Community nurses and aides for the excellent care they provided to mother and the consideration they showed our family.
