Margaret L. Bowman

Margaret Louise Bowman, age 93 of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2024. She was born August 15, 1931 in Mt.Vernon, Kentucky daughter of the late Walter and Glenna (Johnson) Pennington. 

Margaret was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a 1950 graduate of Rockcastle Co. High School. She enjoyed traveling, quilting, and making her home made cards. She was a faithful member of Way of the Cross Church for several years and she shared Jesus with everyone she met. She loved attending bible study at Pheasant Run with her friends and spending time with her family. Margaret will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. 

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Harry Ray Bowman; infant daughter, Rita Bowman; sisters, Belva Willis and Lucille Bullock; brothers, Clayton and James Pennington; son-in-law, Dennis Neal. 

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Randy) Goddard, Ann Bowman Neal, and Glenna (Shawn) Allen; grandchildren, Sharon (Matthew) Keller, Trisha (Jeffrey) Webb, LaDonna Goddard, and Chelsie (Brandon) Flores, Hayden Allen, Emma Bowman-Allen, and Jimmy Supplee; great grandchildren, Jessica (Jon) Vetter, Kaitlin Webb, Dustin (Emily) Keller, Cody (Amanda) Keller, and Brody Webb; great great grandsons, Harrison Vetter and Bennett Vetter; special angels, Ashley Davis and LaToya Stewart; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Dayton for the love and support that they showed their mother and family during this difficult time. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Margaret's honor to Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45404 and or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December, 7, 2024 from 10am-11am at Way of the Cross Church, 612 Beatrice Drive, Riverside, Ohio 45404. A service will begin at 11am also at the church. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
