Margaret Jeanette Hix

Margaret J. Koeller Dunkle Hix, age 78 of Dayton, passed away July 7, 2018. She was born April 10, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Roy and Bertha Koeller. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by two husbands: Larry Hix and Carl Dunkle, Sr.; 14 siblings; grandchildren: Douglas Dunkle, Jr., Kasha Lee, Tamara Lee, Willis C. and William McConnell.

Margaret is survived by her children: Karen (Richard) Lee, Carl (Tina) Dunkle, Jr., Teresa Dunkle, Doug Dunkle, Melissa (Edgar Hoover) Dunkle and Barbara Dunkle Ogden; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Dolly Scott; brother, Clarence (Freda) Koeller; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Margaret was a devoted mother. She loved camping, cooking and always done for others.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. To send a special message to the family, please click on Share Memories.
