Margaret Lucille Anders, "Lucy," age 98 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born April 29, 1920, in Pitsburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Hershel and Anna (Henninger) Baker.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, David J. Anders; step-mother who raised her, Cora Baker; and sister, Alice Mae Carroll.
Lucy is survived by her daughter, Drena (Stephen) Connor; son, David I. (Linda) Anders; grandchildren, Lynne (Dannie) Henson, Stephen Connor, Jr., Michael (Missy) Anders, Bradley (Michelle) Anders, Jeffrey (Heather) Anders; great grandchildren, Sadler and D.J. Henson, Ashley, Isaiah, Hannah, Gabriel, Shelby, Michael Anders; special niece, Sandy Eby; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Lucy and David formerly lived in Springfield, OH, before moving to Russells Point (Indian Lake), OH where they also lived for many years. She served as president of one of the Senior Citizens groups in Russells Point for many years.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). A funeral service will begin at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow in Eversole Cemetery in Perry Twp., OH. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to Hospice of Dayton.
