Margalene "Ethel" Tatum

Margalene "Ethel" Tatum, age 86 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at home surrounded by family. She was born March 23, 1937 in West Liberty, Kentucky the daughter of the late, Rufus and Malisie Shaver.

Ethel retired from Fairborn City School District as a Bus Aide. In her spare time, she loved read and crochet, but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She also loved dining out at various restaurants for birthdays and any other occasion she could think of, or really no occasion at all. She would often invite military neighbors over for the holidays, that didn't have family near. Ethel was a loving mom, grandma and Gma who will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Staley Tatum; sons, Rodney E. Beakler & Robert S. Beakler III; siblings, Stella, Carl, Jewel, Grace, Josephine, Jim Allen, Olene, Harold D., Charles Lee and Kenny

Ethel is survived by her brother, Denny; daughter, Belinda (Jerry Sr.) Asbury; son, Bill (Bernice) Beakler; grandchildren, Michael, Chelsea, Randy, Alexander, Sydney, Hope, Brian, Holly, William, Evan, Sophia, Jerry Jr., Jeanette, Jenna, Jordin, Ashley, Aubrey'Ona and Hannah; numerous great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to a special friend, Terrielynn Vaughn and Promedica Hospice Care, especially Talia, Crystal and Christine, for all of their love and care during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Promedica Hospice in Ethel's honor.

Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a service at 12:00 pm at Agape Family Worship Center (4111 Mapleview Dr., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Ethel will be laid to rest at Fairfield Cemetery beside loved ones following the service.
