Mardelle E. Owens

OWENS, Mardelle E., age 85, of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009. She was born January 7, 1924 in Wiota, Iowa the daughter of the late James L. and Bertha (Daughenbaugh) Derry. She was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2800. She is survived by 7 children, Ruth (Vic) Meyers of Dallas, TX, Barbara Owens of Hamilton, MT, Joan (Jerry) Cornett of Beavercreek, OH, Mary (Larry) Baecht of Darby, MT, John (Janet) Owens of Beavercreek, OH, Jane (Mark) Moon of Bellbrook, OH, and James (Esther) Owens of Centerville, OH; 19 grandchildren, David Meyers, Timothy Meyers, Lawrence Owens, Michael Cornett, Nathaniel Cornett, Jennifer Owens, Maren Owens, Jason Owens, Carl Baecht, Brian Baecht, Tawny Owens, William Owens, Kevin D'Amico, Angie D'Amico, Jesse Moon, Maria Moon, Rodney Varner, Scott Varner, and Matthew Varner; 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Merle Derry. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with Rev.
