Marcina L. Myers, 83, of Moraine, passed away unexpectedly in her home Wednesday, October 11, 2017. She was born on November 8, 1934 in LaFollette, TN to the late Benjamin Smith and Edna Smith.
Marcina was married to James A. Myers her beloved husband for 48 years. She was a loving wife and mother and a role model for her grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life was serving God and caring for her family. She had a servant's heart and compassion to help those in need. She was a caring neighbor and friend to many. She was a faithful member of Miami Shores Baptist Church for 52 years where she served in many areas including teaching Sunday School. She spent many hours knocking on doors in the community inviting people to church. She loved visiting friends, shut-ins and those in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Myers, two sisters, Leotha Fotta, Mary Bullock; two brothers, Dennis Smith and Irvin Smith.
Survivors include two sons James H. Myers and wife Joi of Jamestown and Steven Myers and wife Lisa of West Carrollton; grandchildren, Sarah Myers, James B. Myers and wife Kayla, Thomas Myers and wife Sarah Lynn, and Andrea Myers; and great granddaughters, Mollie Myers and Macy Myers; brothers, Cleadis Smith of LaFollette, TN, and Truman Smith of Struthers, OH, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and precious friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11am at the Miami Shores Baptist Church in Moraine, with the Rev. Doug Surber and Dr. Tom Melzoni officiating. Visitation at the church prior to the funeral services from 10am to 11am. Burial following in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in Miamisburg.
