Marcella Strausbaugh

Marcella Strausbaugh, age 87 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Walnut Creek Assisted Living. She was born October 11, 1936 in Arcanum, Ohio to the late Herschel and Frances Weills. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joiner "Joe" Strausbaugh and two sons, Joey and Jim Strausbaugh.
Marcella is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Rick) Maxwell; four grandchildren, Ashley Strausbaugh, Nicole (Doug) Lane, Megan (David) Landis, and Christine (Kevin) Zylka; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Janet) Weills. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Marcella was devoted to her faith and a long-time member of South Park United Methodist Church. She belonged to Harvest Chapter #564 Order of the Eastern Star and was a Stivers Alumni. Marcella enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with Joe, watching The Ohio State Football, watching Days of Our Lives and cooking shows. She is well loved and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, OH 45439). Services will be officiated by Pastor David Tackett at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Pleasant Hill Cemetery following the service (310 W. Monument Street Pleasant Hill, OH 45359).
