Marcella Fisher

Alta Marcella Fisher, of Beavercreek, Ohio, died February 16, 2025. She was 93 years old. Marcella was born on August 17, 1931, to the late Hollis & Lula Grace Hoberg.

She graduated from Warsaw High School, where she worked as a secretary for a year after graduation. She then moved to Dayton for a job at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She married Robert S. Fisher, Sr., on November 25, 1954. She worked from home as the receptionist for his HVAC company while caring for their children. After her children were raised, she worked at several daycare centers taking care of the youngest babies. Mrs. Fisher love to babysit all of her grandchildren and any others she could lovingly rock and cuddle. Marcella was loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved playing BINGO at Carroll High School and Ascension School. She enjoyed the old days of "The Big Red Machine" and more recently the Dayton Flyers. 

Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sylvester Fisher Sr.; sister, Freida (Russ) Gephart; and her brother, Gary (Lucile)Hoberg.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Bob Jr. & Leslie Fisher, Bill & Kellye Fisher, Keith & Rose Fisher and Myrna & John Gazzerro; nine grandchildren: Ashley Fisher, Adam Fisher, Kristina Fisher and fiancé Ryan Case, Andy Gazzerro and girlfriend Kristine Maxam, Angie Field and Ryan, Eric Fisher and Hailey, Dan Gazzerro and Karina Navarrete, Scott Fisher, Nikki Gazzerro and fiancé Richie Kaminski; 4 great grandchildren: Caleb Field, Brett Fisher, Cayden Field and Travis Fisher.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or Elizabeth New Life Center.

Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00am, on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Ascension Catholic Church, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.
