Marcella Annette Cross

Marcella Annette Cross, 87, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2023. Loving mother of Amy (William) Stelljes, cherished grandmother of Larry (Leeann) Matthews, Ellen Green, Patricia Green, Kimberly (Brandon) Mickells and Ashley (Rob) Tingler, adored great grandmother of Brandon, Wesley, Zayvier, Aurora, Ethan, Kamryn, Brooklyn, Kinley, Liam and Emma. She is also survived by her son in law Keith Vanhoose.

Marcella was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Charles Cross, her parents Melvin and Ruth Mustard and daughters Ruth "Jeri" (Lee) Spurlock, Rebecca "Becky" Vanhoose and Marcy Cross.

Marcella loved to play bingo and was an accomplished quilter. She was known to stay up late at night to play solitaire and go fish. She most loved spending time with her family. She will be very missed by all that knew her.

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd.) on Saturday August 26, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Valley View Memorial Gardens. Please consider a donation in Marcella's memory to Hospice of Dayton who took excellent care of Marcella.
