Age 53, of Brookville, passed away Friday, March 2, 2007 at Spring Meade Nursing Center.
Marc is survived by his wife of the past 25 years, Joan E. (Kehler) Ghrist; his mother, Freda Randolph; one son, Jason & his wife, Jodi Ghrist of Brookville; two precious & loving grandchildren, Paige & Brigham Ghrist; one sister, Paula Corelli; one brother, Brady McCoy; his adopted brother, Fred & his wife, Debbie Kobernuss; sisters-in-law, Judi Kehler, Gigi Dues & her husband, Doug and Cindy Dafler & her husband, Jim; nieces, nephews and many good friends, including his beloved animals, Midnight, Doodle Bug, Brittney, Cyrus and Gracie.
Marc was a member of the Minerva Masonic Lodge. He was retired in 1994 from the Sanitation Department of Montgomery County with 18 years of service, he had volunteered with the HandiVan of Brookville and worked part-time for Richmond Toyota in Indiana. He enjoyed golfing and worked part-time as a starter ranger at Moss Creek Golf Club. Marc was a long-time friend of Bill W. and continues to treasure many of Bill's other friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Cemetery, Brookville. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that contributions be made in memory of Marc to Hospice of Miami County.
