PARTON, Manuel Jr., 80, of Riverside passed away Tuesday June 17, 2008. He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel Sr. and Juanita Parton; daughter Gloria Elaine Parton; and 4 brothers Clifton, Ray, Kenneth,and Ross Parton. Manuel is survived by his wife of 57 years,Thelma Parton; brother Clyde Parton; sister Ginetta Bolton; many other family and friends. He was a Retired First Sergeant in the U.S. Army with service in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Manuel was retired from Mad River School District. Funeral services will be held 5:00PM Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00PM Saturday prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
