Jahnke, Manfred Walter Martin, Sr., age 77, of Beavercreek, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013.
He retired from Ohio Bell on January 6, 1994 after 43 years of service. Manfred was an active member of the Fairborn Lutheran Church and also of the Gliders Club. He was also active with the C.W.A 4322 and the Pioneers. He enjoyed cruising with his wife of 48 years, Shirley (Turnbill) Jahnke.
Manfred is survived by his wife, Shirley; his 4 children, Manfred Jahnke Jr."Snake" and wife Michelle, Douglas Jahnke, Linette Ogle, Loretta Jahnke; grandchildren: Christopher & wife Sabrina, David, Randy, Travis, Cody, Brenna, Devon, Peyton, Jasmine, Lucas; great-grandchildren: Kayla Marie, Hailey, Hanna; sister Christel Jahnke; sister-in-laws Susan Jahnke, Diane Beaty and husband Ken, nieces Melissa, Kayla, & Courtney Webb, nephew Ricky Webb, and special friends Sally & Jim Shunk, Baron Bates, Kelly, Patsy & J.D. Daugherty, and Dr. Karl & Judy Elias.
He was preceded in death by daughter Lisa Jahnke, "Goofy Lisa", grandsons Tyler Martin & Paul Jahnke, & brother Uwe Jahnke.
