Mamie M. Joyner

Joyner, Mamie M., age 73, of Dayton, OH, went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2009 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center after a courageous fight with complications due to diabetes. She was born May 26, 1934 in Springfield, OH the daughter of the late Thomas & Jennie Robinson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Joyner, Sr.; sisters, Reba Sims and Elizabeth Jean King; and her brother, Gregory Robinson, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Herbert L. Joyner, Jr.; daughters, Teresa Mitchell (Carl), Leslie Joyner, and Jennifer Joyner; sisters, Helen Willis, Eunice Rogers, Tommie Hudson, and Kathy Robinson; brother, Gerald Robinson, Sr.; grandchildren, Eric, Jason, Janelle, Shaun, JoVon, Tyrees, and Makalyn; great grandchildren, Jalisa, Capone, Christian, Taye, Tristian, Lalia, and Alisha; and a host of special nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Jayakumar and Dr. Barnes and the Dialysis Team at WPAFB. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of services. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
