Mamie L. Jenkins, age 81 of Dayton passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Roosevelt C. Jenkins Sr.
She is survived by son, Roosevelt C. (Peggy) Jenkins Jr.; daughter Kimberly Fritz; brother Thomas (Phenora) Myree; 2 sisters Bessie (John) Rutledge, Annie (Ollie) Finney; 2 grandchildren Jamal Russell, Angela Blount; and a host of family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Four Seasons of Dayton & Evercare Hospice.
Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Canaan M. B. Church, 5191 Hoover Ave, Dayton, Rev. Dr. Joseph L. Coleman Sr. officiating. Internment at Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation begins at 9:00 am & family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road.
