Maedell L. Long

MaeDell Long, age 81, of Englewood, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010. MaeDell was born October 2, 1928 in Muskegon, MI to the late Wilfred and Hazel Sheehy. MaeDell and Marty raised their family in Donnelsville, before retiring to Florida for 10 years. She returned to Englewood to be with her family after the passing of her husband of 44 years, Martin Long. MaeDell is survived by her daughter, Arline (Kent) Venter; son, Dale (Ruth) Long; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Englewood Manor and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care. The family will receive friends Friday, March 26, 2010 from 10-11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). Services will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice or the charity of one's choice.
