Mae Marcum

Mae Marcum, age 90, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on August 5, 2024. She was born on January 16, 1934 in Keith, Kentucky to the late Luther Shoemaker and Jeanetta Shoemaker-Sparks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Chelsie Marcum. 

 

Mae is survived by her husband of 69 years Edgar “Ted” Marcum; daughter Cathy (David) Baty; son Ed (Lori) Marcum; sister Janice Blanton; grandchildren Kyle (Kristy) Marcum, Joseph Baty, Morgan (Jeremy) Humphries, Shelby (Tommy) Kramer, and Caitlyn Baty; great grandchildren Makenna Marcum, Judah Marcum, Lily Humphries, Emma Humphries, Bonnie Humphries, Ethan Marcum, and Lucy Marcum. 

 

Mae was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved and cherished her family and Jesus. She dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. 

 

Mae loved to sing in choirs at her home church in Ohio; Trenton Nazarene and home church in Florida, First Church of God in Winter Haven. She enjoyed spending her time crocheting, working jigsaw puzzles, and going on cruises with her husband and their friends. 

 

A visitation will be held from 1 PM to 2 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Towne Blvd. Church of God, 3772 Towne Blvd., Middletown, Ohio 45005. If desired, loved ones may send flowers to the church office, no later than Friday, August 16th at noon.
