MITCHELL, Mae E. (nee Breeze), age 85, of Vandalia, OH, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012. She was born June 9, 1926 in Vandalia, IL.
Mae retired from Demmitt Elementary School where she worked as the cafeteria manager. She was a member of the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary in Vandalia and the VFW in Vandalia.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Mitchell.
She is survived by her children, Ella Louise (Don) Beckman and Kenneth (Debbie) Mitchell; grandchildren, Mark (Kim) Beckman, Michelle (Jeremy) Mitchell, LaDonna (Allen) Mays and Wendy (Jeff) Payne; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Chris, Jake, A.J., Bekah, Kendra, Mikayla, Addison, Jarrett, Jaxxson and Justiss; great-great-granddaughter, Adrianna; and special family friend, Andy Todd.
If desired, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Mae's memory.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 at 3:00 pm in the chapel at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens (8200 W. National Rd., New Carlisle, Ohio) with Chaplain Randy Reed officiating.
