Madelyn Jean Mcdaniel

Madelyn Jean "Maddy" McDaniel, 73, of West Carrollton, passed away on September 11, 2019.
She was born on December 16, 1945 to Leonard and Eileen (Deuer) Esken in Ypsilanti, MI.
Maddy was a graduate of Julienne High School Class of 1964.
On September 9, 1967, she married the love of her life, Robert L. McDaniel.
Maddy obtained an Activity Director Certification from Otterbein and held an Activities Director position at Elm Creek Nursing Home for 15 years. She made the lives of the residents so much richer and joyful with her love, kindness and laughter. She was never lacking in love as her heart was so big.
She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and a favorite of the family. Maddy enjoyed pool-time with her grandchildren and family. She loved the beach, butterflies, hummingbirds, and a good NASCAR race.
Maddy is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Robert; daughters, LeeJean (Arnie) Beringer and Lori (Alan) Bowman; grandchildren, Sarah, Belle, and Jacob; brothers, Dennis Esken, Sr., Robert Esken; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends that loved her so much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Eileen Esken; and brother, Leonard Esken, Jr.
She touched so many lives and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2019, from 11 am to 1 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd. 45439).
Funeral services will follow 1 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel.
Interment immediately after at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
