Mabel Willoughby

Mabel Sheffield Willoughby died on December 16, 2017 in Dayton, OH. She was born in Morris Creek, Stanton, KY 90 years ago, was the widow of Cecil Willoughby, and the daughter of the late Noah Sr. and Lina (Martin) Sheffield.

Mabel was the mother to Janet (Wiley) Stringfield, Deloris (Dale) Saunders, Linda (Jack) Jones, Cynthia Courtade, Joyce (Pat) Moeller, Steven (Laura) Willoughby, Jeff Willoughby and Cecil Willoughby. She was a sister to Mildred Tharpe, Carol (Jack) Diamond, Lloyd (Marie) Sheffield, Fairley Sheffield, Cecil (Twyla) Sheffield, Ray (Marlene) Sheffield and Gary Sheffield. Preceded in death by brothers Larry Michael, Noah Jr. and Donald Sheffield. Beloved grandmother to 23 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchilden. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all. Mabel was the monarch of the family and the best adviser to all.

Mabel was a life long member of Cornerstone Baptist Temple. The family would like to express their thanks to Janice, Kathy Jo and Mark at Walnut Creek Nursing Home for their kindness and consideration.

Funeral Service will be held at December 20, 2017 at 11:30 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Visitation will be December 20, 2017 from 10:30 pm to 11:30 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Burial will follow the services at Dayton National Cemetery.
