Mabel Sizemore

Mabel Sizemore, age 97, of Dayton, passed away October 5, 2021. She was born December 6, 1923 in Hazard, KY to the late John and Ollie Childers. In addition to her parents, Mabel was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Matowski Sizemore; and many brothers and sisters.

Mabel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Carole and Mike Walker; grandchildren: Matt and Josh Walker; great-grandchildren: Hailey and Gavin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including: Faye and Avon Pratt.

Mabel was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII and we thank her for her service. She worked for many years and retired from the Salvation Army. Mabel was a hard worker and she was a very giving woman. She took in many kids over the years, caring for them while their parents were working.
