M. Eileene Homan, age 91, of Dayton, passed away surrounded by family on October 30, 2018. Eileene was born in Groveport, OH to the late Ada and Ben Fowler. Eileene married Robert Homan in November of 1950. A dedicated Ohio State fan, she and Robert planned on attending the Michigan and Ohio State Football game for their honeymoon. Eileene enjoyed crafting in her free time and playing bingo and cards with friends and loved ones.
Eileene had a heart for service and a compassionate soul, she would volunteer her time at Stan Hywet.
She was a kind, caring, and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Eileene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Homan; sister, Esther Henry; and step-brother, Sheldon Root.
Eileene leaves to cherish her memory, loving daughters, Teresa Homan, Deb (Dave) France, and Barb (Jim) Piergies; grandchildren, Jillian, Nathan, Robert, and Mary; great-grandson, Cason Eric; nieces and nephew, Jackie, Patti, and Mark; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Eileene's life will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018 at Jenkin's Funeral Home (2914 Dover Center Rd, Westlake, OH 44145) at 1pm. Burial to follow at Lakewood Park Cemetery at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eileene's honor to The Pink Ribbon Girls.
