M. Dan Berry

Berry, M. Dan, age 80, of Miamisburg, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012. He was born November 23, 1932 to the late Howard E. & Ethel R. (McKinney) Berry. Dan was a United States Navy Veteran proudly serving during the Korean War, he retired from D P & L with over 29 years of service, and he was a talented artist and carver. Dan is survived by his wife of 55 years: Julia (Heiney) Berry; children: Tom D. (Jamie) Berry of Centerville, John A. (Cindi) Berry of Port William, Ohio and Jennifer L. (Craig )Brunner of Dayton; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings: Robert L. Berry of Kettering and Shirley J. Armentrout of New Carlisle; and numerous other family members and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Hope Kane and his brother: Joe V. Berry. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Interment will follow the services at Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Dan.
