Lynn E. Mckinley

Lynn E. McKinley, age 81 of Springfield, Ohio passed away peacefully on December 7, 2021. He was born March 16, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio son of the late Elmer and Beulah McKinley.
Lynn was a devoted spouse, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Lynn was a faithful member of Fowler Road Church for many years. He was an avid golfer in which he was part of several leagues throughout his life. His passion for golf started in his younger years in which at age 17 he won the Dayton Daily News Youth Golf Tournament. Other passions of Lynn's included going to sporting events, including Ohio State Football games where he was a Red Coat for several years. Lynn was active in spending time with his children and their sporting events, attending tournaments, and spending time with the ones he cherished. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Dennis Garber; and daughter-in-law, Rachel McKinley.
Lynn is survived by spouse of 21 years, Helen Hayward; children, Jeff (Jeff Hall) McKinley, Doug McKinley, and Lara McKinley; step-children, Kimberly (Brian) Lewis and Kelli Jacob; grandchildren, Zoey McKinley and Kenny McKinley; step-grandchildren, Allison Jacob, Russell Jacob, Brian Jacob, and Chase Boggs; 2 step-great grandchildren; brother, Larry (Janie) McKinley; sister, Ruth Ann Garber; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as several other family members and friends.
Private Services will be held per Lynn's requests.
He will be laid to rest at a later date at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Lynn's honor to Pink Ribbon Girls (32 E Main St, Tipp City, OH 45371) and or American Heart Association (1313 W. Dorothy Lane Kettering, OH 45409).
