Lyle Ellis Lansing, age 72, of Prosser, WA passed away on June 6, 2016 at the VA Medical Center Hospice in Dayton, OH. He was born on May 18, 1944 in Yakima, Washington, to the late Clyde and Virginia (Emmons) Lansing.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Beth Lansing.
Lyle is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his four daughters, Michal (Bill) Holl; Kelly Lansing, Angie (Jim) Erickson, Rene (Wyman) Berg; eight grandchildren, Taylor (George) Retterer, Jordyn (Manuel) Zambrano, Justin Lansing, Dominique Erickson, Isabel Erickson, Phillip Lansing, Ethan Erickson, Hudson Merrill; two great-grandchildren, Hudson Zambrano, Maelynn Retterer; two more great grandchildren on the way; two brothers, Bruce Lansing, Ray (Monik) Lansing; former wife, Nancy Lansing; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Lyle served his country in the United States Navy for 4 years, serving two tours in Vietnam, from June 1963 to June 1967. He loved fishing, going to the beach and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 10:30 am. to 11:30 am. at Newcomer Funeral Home- South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439. Memorial service will begin at 11:30. Burial of cremated remains will be at 1:00 pm at the Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, OH.
