Luther Peter Stowers, age 71, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on December 7, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Luther and Marie Murray.
Luther is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Bernita Stowers; three children, Wytina Stowers, Twanna Stowers, and Juanetta Stowers; six grandchildren, J'wanna, Jason, Anastasia, Nevaeh, G'nilaeh, and Pheonix; two brothers, Walter (Gwen) Stowers and Benjamin Murray; five sisters, Annette Philpott, Joyce Murray, Deborah Murray, Nathea Murray, and Mary Murray; niece, Sherria (Christopher) Robinson; great-nieces, Kristyn (Charlie) and Kelcey (Josh) Hall; mother-in-law, Agnes; sister-in-law, Byrendia; and two beloved puppies, Coco Moses and Silver. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family hopes those who would like to honor him will find a quiet time to remember who he was in your life and be thankful for the time you had together.
In lieu of a public funeral service, individual families are encouraged to have their own private memorial.
