Lupe D. Chagoyan, age 85 of Centerville, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019, surrounded by her family at Miami Valley Hospital. She was the 3rd of 4 daughters born to the late Guadalupe (Frank) and Maria de Jesus (Jessie) Delgado, on January 31, 1934, Kansas City, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Raquel (Bruno) Matvejs, and Irene (Eligio "Jr") Gutierrez, and grandson, Albert Joseph (Joe) Hodapp, lV.
Lupe is survived by her son, Louis (Sharon L.) Chagoyan Jr., daughter Diana Marie (Dawn Rinker) Hodapp, sister, Sylvia (Edward) Hoar. Her two grandchildren, Maria Rachel (David Gerard) Morgan, Philip L. Chagoyan, previous son-in-law Albert J. Hodapp, lll, and her close knit family of several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephew. Lupe was loyal, devoted, and loved her family. She was always interested in each of their lives, and worried (too much) about them all. She loved watching old movies, playing solitaire on her Ipad, and just relaxing in her apartment. She was charming, yet was blunt and very much to the point of telling you exactly what she thought. As a family we enjoyed so many moments of laughter with her, as she was funny 'even when she wasn't trying to be' and could have a good laugh at herself too! We sure will miss her funny self.
Memorial Mass celebrating her life at St. Leonard Chapel (8100 Clyo Road Centerville, Ohio 45458) will take place Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 9:00 am following the Memorial Mass a Celebration of life will take place from 10:00 am -12:00 pm at the Station House Restaurant, Provincial Way, Washington Township, OH 45458.
