Lulene V. Lakes

Jesus was waiting with open arms on June 12, 2009 when Lurlene V. Lakes went to be with her Lord and Savior. Born Nov 1, 1915 in Cadiz, KY to Chester and Ora Goodwin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George and son Ronald. Also preceding her were sisters Myrtle Kimball and Francis Measel and brother Chester Goodwin. She is survived by her son Keith (Debra) Lakes, brother Robert (Evelyn) Goodwin, stepson Stephen Lakes, grandchildren Kari (Jerrod) Stultz, Chad (Carolyn) Lakes, Joshua Lakes, Shari (Travis) Gomez and Stacey Jensen, great-grandchildren, Justin, Kayla and Jacob Stultz, Regayn, Hunter and Alec Lakes and Avalyn and Brinley Gomez. Lurlene was a life long member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dayton. She was a retired realtor. Donations can be made in Lurlene's memory to the Gospel Mission of Dayton, OH. Viewing will be Monday evening June 15 from 6-8 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH. Service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1501 E Third St, Dayton, OH, on Tuesday at 10 AM. Pastor Rick Piatt of Lakeland, FL officiating.
