Lucretia (Cree) Darnese Smith, 29, passed away July 27th, 2023.
Lucretia was born in Springfield, Ohio on June 9, 1994, to Angela Crowe and Michael Smith. She was raised in Trotwood, Ohio, where she attended Meadowdale High School and graduated from ICIS in 2012.
Lucretia was proceeded in death by her mother, Angela Crowe. She is survived by her father, Michal Smith; material siblings Darien Crowe and Andrea Smith; children Don and Nyla Taylor, and Tysean Cook; maternal grandmother, Vera Crowe; Uncle Ricky (Jannan) Crowe; and a host of uncles, aunts, and extremely close friends.
Lucretia was a dedicated and passionate member of the health care community, where she touched the hearts of many different families while working as an STNA. She was a beautiful young lady with a heart of gold and unmatched sense of humor; an all-around genuine spirit.
She enjoyed braiding hair, music, writing, and singing. Cree had a voice that could heal the soul. She loved spending time with those that loved her, and would give anybody she cared for her last.
Cree will forever be remembered and missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm with services immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.
