Lucas Anthony Burgess

Lucas Anthony "Luke" Burgess, age 44, of Fairborn, passed away on May 1, 2021, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Kettering, Ohio, on November 29, 1976, the son of James and Sandra Burgess.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James C. "Jimbo" Burgess; his grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Luke is survived by his loving parents, Jim and Sandy Burgess; his beloved sons, Devin and Trevor Burgess; wife, Angela Burgess; sister, Sherri Pitt; nephews, Ryan, Matt and Spencer MacLean; nieces, Danielle and Sarah Burgess; great niece, Zoie; great nephews, Collin and Liam; and many other loving family and friends.

In his free time, he loved to play pool, go fishing and was an excellent cook. Luke was a very giving soul and was always there for those he loved. His bond with his sister while growing up was something he held very dear to him. His family and friends meant the world to him and Luke will be greatly missed by everyone who loved him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 1pm-3pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Memorial Service will begin at 3pm at the funeral home.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Dayton for the care, not only for Luke, but for them as well. Donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
