Lt Col Richard "Kink" Kincade, age 63, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Riverside Methodist Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was born on September 25, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Jack and Betty Kincade.
He is preceded in death by his in-laws, Kenneth and Barbara Davis and his brother, Charles Kincade.
Rick is survived by his parents, Jack and Betty Kincade; beloved wife, Ellen Kincade; son, Jack Kincade; sister, Cindi Kincade; brother, Tom Kincade; and his special extended Military family. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Rick was devoted to his faith, family, and service. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Rick participated as a 9/11 First Responder in Noble Eagle, Operation Northern Watch, and worked in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was awarded many decorations including The National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, The Air Force Achievement Medal, and Joint Meritorious Unit Award. In addition to his military service, he was a very loving husband, father, son, and brother. The most important thing to Rick was his family. He was a great mentor that enjoyed flying, coaching track, and grooming future pilots.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm-8:00 on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home-South Chapel (3940 Kettering Boulevard, Kettering, OH 45439). Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Tim Nowlin at 9:30 am on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Rick will be laid to rest following services at Dayton National Cemetery.
