Lovetta Cottle

Cottle, Lovetta (Salyers), age 76 of Miamisburg, passed away Friday December 30, 2011 at The Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Letcher County, KY on November 18, 1935 to the late Orb and Urilla (Hayes) Salyers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Walter Clark, Jr.; four brothers, Junior, James, Edgar Gene and Ray Salyers; and two sisters, Lovelle (Salyers) Howard and Fay Salyers.

Lovetta is survived by her partner of 32 years, Ben Ballard; daughters, Shelia (Lloyd) Weidel of West Carrollton; last surviving sister, Monetta (George) Shurpert (Salyers) of Kettering; two grandsons, Michael (Dawna) Weidel of Denver and William (Savanah) Cox of West Carrollton; and one great grandson, Aiden Kohl Weidel.

Lovetta was employed at Sunshine Bakery and then Apex Tool and Die of Dayton.

A visitation will take place on Thursday January 5, 2012 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 6, 2012 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial to take place at Highland Cemetery.
