Lovest (Love) Ingram was born on October 20, 1957, to Mr. & Mrs. Robert and Grace Huggins in Dayton, Ohio, and was the youngest of four children. She attended Roosevelt High School and left school before graduating, to commit her time to care for a beloved and ailing family friend.
On November 24, 1975, she married the love of her life, Charles E. Ingram Jr, and went on to have three children, devoting herself to her family full-time as a homemaker, "Training them up in the way that they should go". She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and so much more.
Love accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was filled with the Holy Spirit as a young woman. She continued to serve God throughout her life as a licensed Missionary and Pastor in the name of Jesus until she went to be with Him in Heaven. Love attended and served at the Full Gospel Church of the Living God for many years, ministering under the leadership of Pastor James E. Lee and later leading the church as Co-Pastor with her husband.
Love was a shining light of humility and love, always steadfast in "Practicing and Training and Doing" to show God's love. She served God wholeheartedly and accepted many assignments from her Savior. Whether it was welcoming children into her home to live, delivering bread and pastries to the community and shelters, ministering to the elderly in nursing homes, offering her time to cook and clean for people who were physically unable to, or blessing people through monetary and massive giveaways of furniture, gifts, and household goods, Love was always willing to answer and accept the leadings of the Holy Spirit.
Love was preceded in death by her parents. Precious memories will be cherished by her devoted and beloved husband of 47 years, Charles Ingram Jr; loving son and daughters, Craig Ingram (LaShawn), Coreen Foote (Deon), Pauline Buckley (Christopher); grandchildren, Aidan, Cailey, and Christian; brothers, Luke Huggins (Linda) and Robert Huggins Jr; sister, Barbara Wessoen; nieces, nephews and a host of loved ones and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A homegoing service will begin immediately following at 1:30pm. Lovest will be laid to rest at West Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family requests that masks be worn for the safety of all who are in attendance.
