Louvina C. Engleman, age 92 of Dayton, passed away July 23, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Engleman; parents: Mabel (Sayles) and Alonzo Murnahan; brothers: John, Alonzo, Arthur, Jack and Charles; sisters: Marie, Martha and Jenny.
Lou is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Danny) Behr; sons: Raymond (Marilyn), Robert (Karen) and Jack Engleman; 8 grandchildren: Carol (Rick) Elliott, Sherry (Nathan) Engleman, Mitzi (Bobby) Knox, Tony and Brian Engleman, Christal (Doug) Beabout, Gina Engleman and Andrew (Kim) Grogean; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; many other family members and friends. She married the love of her life, George Engleman in 1938 and they shared 42 wonderful years together.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Louvina's memory to Mercy Siena Woods Chapel Fund, 6125 North Main Street, Dayton, OH 45415 or to VITAS Hospice Care, 3055 Kettering Boulevard, Moraine, OH 45439. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the nurses, aides and staff of Mercy Siena Woods Nursing Home for the wonderful and compassionate care provided to Lou for the past 8 years. She loved you all. Also, a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, aides and staff of VITAS Hospice. We appreciate the comfort and care given to Lou as she made this final journey. She was a beautiful loving wife, mother and grandmother. Cheers to a life well lived. We will miss you forever.
