ZIMMARO-SMITH-DIPASQUALE, Louise A., a lifelong resident of Dayton, OH passed away Sunday August 19, 2012.
Louise, the youngest of eight children, was born to Louis and Josephine (nee: Giambrone) DiPasquale on August 29, 1923 in Dayton, OH. Louise was a member of the Sons of Italy, John Pirelli Lodge #1633 and The Daughter's of the Immaculate Conception, an organization for Catholic women, founded by her mother, Josephine DiPasquale in 1909. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, an international sorority, for over sixty years. During WWII, with her brothers serving in Europe, Louise helped to raise 22 million dollars in war bonds. Each year Beta Sigma Phi donates three million dollars to charities. Beta Sigma Phi is known as "The Friendship Organization."
Louise was preceded in death by husbands, Dwayne Smith and Frank Zimmaro; brothers, Anthony, Charles, and John DiPasquale; and sisters, Rosina DiPasquale and Lucy DiBauda. Survivors include her brothers, Cosmo and Louis DiPasquale. Louise was a dearly loved mother figure to all her nieces and nephews; Catherine Mottet, Mary Jo McCoy, Darlene Westbrock, Louis DiPasquale, Dr. Charles DiPasquale, Patricia Krul, Dr. Robert DiBauda, Diane Nutini, Tina Stodd and Mary Ann Link; step-son, Samuel (Diane) Zimmaro, step grandsons and numerous great grand nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Louise had a special devotion to St. Theresa and many petitions were granted through her intervention and the special sign of roses. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
Visitation is Thursday August 23, 2012 from 10am to 11am with Mass of Christian Burial starting at 11am all at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2300 South Smithville Road, Dayton, OH 45420.
Interment is in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society.
