Louise Brooks

Brooks, Louise, age 90, of Dayton passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Sycamore Hospital. She lived in the Dayton area for many years. She was a longtime member of the Greater Allen AME Church. She is preceded in death by her parents John Thomas & Isabell Sherell; husband, Joe D. Brooks; daughters, Lola Mae Moore & Dorothy Ann Newkirk; brothers, Floyd Thomas & Walter Thomas; & her sister, Annie Ruth Herring. Survivors include her son, James A. Brooks of Dayton; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, & great-great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Jackson of Columbus & Jane Moore of Dayton, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Greater Allen Methodist Church, 1620 W. Fifth St., Dayton, OH. Burial will follow at West Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from10 AM until the time of services.
