Louis John Dudas
Age 91, of Dayton, passed away Friday, August 8, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born June 18, 1917 in Dayton to Paul & Elizabeth Dudas. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul; and by one sister, Betty Hampel.
Louie is survived by his wife of the past 61 years, Virginia "Ginny" Dudas; three children, Linda Stitt, Nicholas (Debbie) Dudas and Steven (Micki) Dudas; five grandchildren, Thad Stitt, Nichole Dudas, Christy Parsons, Christopher and Jessica Dudas; three great grandchildren, Taylor Maner, Star and Lexie Dudas; and by one sister, Margaret Oldham.
Louie was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a WW II U. S. Army Air Corps veteran where he received the Distinguish Flying Cross, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, the Bronze Star and the Air medal. He retired with 34 years of service from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in the 4950th Test Wing Aeronautical Systems Division.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday (8/12) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
