Louie Trigg

Louie Trigg was born March 23, 1922 in Keokee, Virginia to Lester and Betty Trigg. Following a long illness, Louie died Sunday surrounded by family and friends. Louie served honorably in the U.S. military, enlisting in the U.S. Army in December 4, 1942 and rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He fought in a collection of battles and campaigns, receiving several decorations and citations for doing so. Louie was honorably discharged in October 1945.

Louie married Vera Audrey Barker on June 27, 1942. She survives him, along with two sons and a daughter-in-law: Louis and Carol Trigg and Doug Trigg. In addition, he also counts three grandsons: Thomas, Donald and Michael. Finally, Louie also has five great grandchildren: Teagan Trigg, Tristan Trigg, Powers Trigg, Malcolm Trigg and Gaines Trigg.

Prior to his extended illness, Louie was an active member of Dorothy Lane American Baptist Church where he was a charter member. Following his retirement from the Defense Construction Supply Center (DESC), he enjoyed spending time on his well-manicured lawn, playing golf, making trips to his native Virginia and spending time with a large collection of family and friends.
