Louanna Cordelia Turner, age 98 of Englewood, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on November 24, 2018. She was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Norbert and Elizabeth Miller in 1920. Louanna was a dedicated patriot and went to work during the Second World War, working on an assembly line. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles in her free time. Louanna loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed playing cards.
She was a strong and independent woman. Louanna met and married George Joseph Turner in 1941 and shared many happy years together until his death in 1972. Louanna was a kind, caring, loving, and compassionate mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Louanna was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, George J. Turner; brother, Dale Miller; sister, Virginia Stulgaitis; and son-in-law, Rusty Wombold.
Louanna leaves to cherish her memory, loving daughters, Carol Ann Wombold and Lois Jean (Christopher) Kuhns; grandchildren, Barbara Kuhns, Ginger (Yong) Tai, Matthew (Jessie) Harsh; great-grandchildren, Mason and Jasmine; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
