Lou “Butchie” Chino Boudreaux, age 70 of West Carrollton, Ohio, was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 29, 1954, to Jean (Maryam Burnett) Williams and Daniel Boudreaux. He passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, after an extended hard-fought battle with cancer. He was a loving brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Lou was an active athlete throughout his youth. He enjoyed achieving several ranks and honors in the Boy Scouts and Explorers. He excelled in sports and earned high school varsity letters in baseball, wrestling and football. Butchie graduated from Colonel White High School in Dayton, Ohio in 1972. Upon graduating, Lou left home and spent several years traveling throughout the United States and Canada.
During his journeys, Lou developed a passion for culinary arts. He made a career as a Sous Chef and worked at some of the best restaurants throughout the United States. He practiced his crafts at Keyhole Restaurant, Smuggler’s Inn and Stouffer’s of Dayton. Lou moved north of Chicago and worked as a Corporate Chef. He eventually started a small business at Wrigley’s Field in Chicago and worked as a chef at the Sport’s Corner in Wrigley Field. In 2012, Lou returned to Dayton, Ohio to be close to his family and support his aging mother. Upon returning to Dayton, Lou reconnected with his lifelong friend, Nancy Lewis. He embraced hard work and partnered with Nancy in a business venture to clean and sanitize senior citizens’ apartments. Lou also spent time with family often traveling the United States and cooking for his siblings’ families.
Lou developed a love for being outdoors and fishing when he was young. He shared his love for fishing by teaching his nephews and friends the sport. He also enjoyed watching daytime tv shows such as Judge Mathis and the Young and Restless. Butchie had a big heart and developed lifelong friendships easily. Lou loved the Lord and was baptized and gave his life to Christ when he was a young man. Lou will be dearly missed and fondly remembered because he touched so many people’s lives, especially during his time at Sport’s Corner.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Jean (Maryam Burnett) Williams and Daniel Boudreaux; stepfather, John M. Adams; brother, John F. Adams; maternal grandmother Jessie L. Darden; maternal aunts Diana Darden and Deloris Gunn; and his beloved dog, Mimi.
